Eldercaring Coordination
Eldercaring Coordination is the first court alternative specifically created to meet the unique needs of families with high conflict dynamics. A Judge may order eldercaring coordination when an aging person is safe and well cared for but believes the family conflicts may jeopardize the goals. The Eldercaring Coordinator is devoted to helping the family reduce conflict about the care and safety of older adults. Ms. Schmidt has been trained in elder mediation (although it is not currently an area of certification) and is trained as an Eldercaring Coordinator and practicing in Florida.
Eldercaring Coordination, unlike mediation, must be court ordered; however, parties with conflict in matters involving an elder may elect to contact Ms. Schmidt about options to assist the family.
